Which department should I visit?
A general guide to help identify a possible first point of contact based on your main concern.
Common first-contact routes
- Chest pain, sudden shortness of breath, loss of consciousness or severe bleeding: Emergency Department.
- Persistent cough, wheezing or breathing difficulty: Pulmonology.
- Palpitations, exertional chest discomfort or blood-pressure follow-up: Cardiology.
- Headache, dizziness, tremor or numbness: Neurology.
- Joint, bone, back or injury-related concerns: Orthopedics and Traumatology.
- General adult complaints, diabetes, thyroid or hypertension follow-up: Internal Medicine.
- Children’s health concerns: Pediatrics; pregnancy-related concerns: Obstetrics and Gynecology.
